HOUSE BUILDING > GROUP INFORMATION

Cost of House Building

FEES TO DOXA

HWB Site Fee:
(Per House)
— $250 per site. Fee pays for family and site selection, operation and maintenance of the Annex, and curtains for house. Fee is due with registration.

Building Materials: (Per House)
— $3,875 per house for building materials (2011-12). Note that material costs may fluctuate each year according to lumber costs.
— About $200 for cement and rebar per site. Rebar is purchased from the store of your choice.
— $450 (Optional) for pre-poured cement slab per site. Fee includes cement, rebar, sand and labor.  Must be arranged with DOXA at time of registration.

Invoices for materials and services will be sent with a due date just prior to your project start date. Interest will accrue every 30 days past due date. Your prompt payment will be greatly appreciated. Please contact doxa@doxaserves.org with any questions.


FEES TO CASA HOGAR DE LOS NINOS

Accommodation Fees:
— $5 per person, per night (includes lodging, utilities, garbage service, and parking).

Expected Costs in Mexico

— Approximately $1.70 per 5 gallons of potable water. (A rule of thumb is one bottle per person per week.) Payment for potable water is due at the Annex. 
— Approximately$49 per baño, per week. Two cleanings included.
— Approximately $70 per week for gas.

DONATE to DOXA or Casa Hogar de los Niños
Many groups take an offering among their team for the Orphanage or for DOXA as a part of their fund raising work for the trip. The Orphanage requests you not leave their donations at the orphanage. To donate to the Orphanage, mail a check to DOXA – 3605 84th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040. Designate Orphanage General Fund in the memo line to ensure that the funds are directed to the Orphanage. For DOXA donations please write DOXA in the memo line.
